"Good all around. The food service and atmosphere were all great. It is very busy so do book or you might be disappointed. The menu is huge and serves many dishes. The service is also good and personalised. Do go and have a great outdoor dining experience. Management is amazing."

"Zen garden is one of my favourite restaurants! It’s been me and my family’s go to place for years and the quality of food, drinks and service just keep getting better with each passing year and visit! We always order dumplings, the prawns tempura and wonton to start with. The sushi is to die for and so is their chilli pork with fried rice (they have a variety) or noodles. The atmosphere is great, relaxed and perfect for a weekend afternoon catch up with family or friends. It’s kid friendly too with a playground for the little ones. For dessert do try what they have as they’ve got that right from gelato to different types of cakes for all tastebuds. In short the food and drinks are pure delight for the tastebuds!"

"Zen Garden delivers a tranquil, garden style dining experience with lush greenery, soft lighting, and a relaxed indoor outdoor setup. The surroundings are leafy and serene, offering a calm retreat that works well for relaxed lunches, dinners, family meals or casual hangouts. The menu brings together pan-Asian cuisine; Chinese, Japanese and Thai influences, with dishes ranging from sushi, dim sum and dumplings, to stir fries, noodle dishes, and grilled mains. Portions are generous, variety is broad (vegetarian and vegan-friendly options included), and the restaurant also has a patisserie and dessert section, making it a good spot for both full meals and lighter bites. #EatOutApproved!"

"I visited Zen Garden yesterday afternoon to celebrate my graduation with my family. We arrived as walk ins after a long graduation day. I was with my father, who is disabled, and my brothers. At the entrance, we were received by two ladies handling bookings, one of whom was an Indian lady wearing a scarf. We were immediately told that there was no space available in the garden as it was fully booked. This was stated quite firmly by the Indian lady. What stood out, however, was that a gentleman in a black T-shirt (who appeared to be a supervisor) stepped in almost right after, asked us to follow him, and was able to find us seating without any issue. There appeared to be a clear difference in understanding or approach between him and the two ladies at the entrance, particularly the lady in the scarf who had insisted there was no space. Once seated, the experience changed for the better. The wait staff were warm, attentive, and professional, and they made us feel comfortable throughout. We also ended up spending a considerable amount of time and money at the restaurant. Most of the food was genuinely good. I enjoyed the noodles, beef chilli, and sweet and sour chicken. My father liked the salmon. The dynamite sushi, however, did not meet expectations and felt below the standard of the rest of the meal. Zen Garden has great food and excellent wait staff. However, first impressions matter. The inconsistency in how we were received at the entrance especially as a family with a disabled guest is something that stood out and is worth reflection for a restaurant of this calibre."

"We were 4 people for lunch on Sunday. The place isn't that bad but we were instantly disappointed that about 80% of the tables don't really have a "garden" atmosphere at all. Three of us ate sushi and we were terribly disappointed, especially by the ridiculously low amount of fish in the sushi. One of us ate a vegetarian green curry which he really enjoyed. Then came the bill and he realized that his 2,000ksh curry didn't include the rice as a side dish. The rice costed 950 ksh! We had to laugh not to cry over this... even in Europe where rice is more expensive in the supermarkets, none of us had ever paid that much in a restaurant for a bowl of rice... Come on! Our total bill was 12,000 ksh, we only had 4 main dishes (no starters, no deserts, no alcoholic drinks) and 2 juices + 2 sparkling waters. We are definitely not coming back to this crazy overpriced place."
