"Tin Roof Café in Karen, Nairobi is a lovely spot, especially if you’re looking for a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The café is set in a beautiful garden, which makes it a perfect place to unwind, enjoy nature, and spend a peaceful afternoon. One of the nicest features is the small playground, making it very family-friendly and ideal for parents who want to enjoy a meal while their children play nearby. The food is excellent, with the salads being a real highlight - fresh, flavorful, and among the best you’ll find. Everything feels thoughtfully prepared and healthy without sacrificing taste. Combined with the calm garden setting and friendly atmosphere, Tin Roof Café is a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Highly recommended for a relaxed meal in Karen."

"A solid above average for this location. The food service and atmosphere were good. The location is very peaceful and nestled in other food places. The breakfast was good."

"The best thing about this place is the ambience and location. Unfortunately the food was underwhelming. I ordered the Casava "Pancakes" which are actually crepes, NOT pancakes so be warned. It needs something with it like fruit, otherwise just plain and unsatisfying."

"A lovely place to be in a green, quiet environment. Food is great and healthy. One can sit in the garden, on the veranda and inside. Staff is wonderful!"

"We arrived at 2pm on a busy Sunday and took about 30 min to get our drink orders in. The waiter Francis was assigned too many tables for a full house. So, we excused this. We put our food orders and the food took an additional 40 minutes to come out. At this point it was well after 4pm. At 4.50pm the waiter had the audacity to bring my dad a beer and tell him they are closing in 10min we should wind up. We had walked in with a cake which was in the kitchen which he then brought in the box and asked if we were cutting it there or leaving with it. This is the most insane statement I have heard from a waiter. He did not bother to check if we wanted desserts beforehand or ask for last call for orders. Just telling us to wind up as the staff needs to leave at 5pm. Considering we had been so accommodating with him being overwhelmed we were blindsided. And it is best that he promptly went into hiding so we could not settle the bill with him. The food was ok, but the experience left a sour taste. I would not recommend this place for a celebration on a busy day as it is setting yourself up for disappointment. Only go there for casual meals."
