"We had a lovely evening at the restaurant. While the food did not quite match the price, it was still enjoyable and nicely presented. The live band playing in the background was wonderful and created a great atmosphere. The service was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. Overall, we truly enjoyed our dinner and had a very pleasant time."

"The restaurant is supposed to be fine dining. Was quiet empty on a week day evening, but might be reservation basis when busy. The waiters were friendly and quick to serve. I went for beef burger which was amazing and light despite the big size, i am planning to get it again. The steak was also great, but the coconut rice was a bit disappointing. Drinks were great too. Prices on the higher side"

"Very disappointing service, despite the restaurant clearly being capable of doing better. We waited over 2 hours for our main courses on New Year’s Eve, while multiple tables that arrived after us were served before us. My soup arrived, and my wife’s soup came about 15 minutes later. The waiter then came back twice around 30 minutes after we ordered to ask how I wanted my steak cooked and what sides I wanted, which made it clear our order hadn’t even been entered. When the mains finally arrived, my plate came first and my wife’s followed about 12 minutes later, by which point we were too exhausted to enjoy the meal. To be fair, the pisco sour was excellent and the miso soup was very good, and we saw other guests enjoying their food, so I believe this was a service issue rather than a kitchen problem. Unfortunately, it completely ruined what should have been a special evening."

"We had such an amazing dining experience at Slate! The beef fillet was perfectly tender and flavorful, the salmon was cooked to perfection, and we ended it all with a heavenly red velvet gâteau that was rich and delicious. Truly a memorable meal – highly recommend!"

"The ambience is immaculate. The hostess welcoming us was superb. Foodwise, great flavours but execution wasn't great. The sushi kept breaking apart. Both the surf and turf roll and the swahili chicken roll were quite tasty. Be warned that they are on the spicy side. Our waiter was okay. My dad liked the salmon but the pan-fried veggies lacked enough seasoning. Would definitely try it again and see what else is on the menu."
