"An absolutely exceptional property but the staff are what makes this place memorable. George connected me with a city guide Kevin whose priority was safety and was full of interesting information. Maddy connected me to the Nairobi Birdman who was fascinating to walk the city learn from. I’m so grateful to George and Maddy for making our experience extraordinary. Joy at breakfast earned her name by being the sunshine and welcoming our child. Kennedy provided exceptional dinner service."

"I was treated like royalty. I feel like the staff at the Fairmont The Norfolk was my family. Beginning with reception, Christine provided exceptional customer service my entire stay. I appreciated Christine's kindness and professional manner. Thank you Christine and Kanja! Thank you Tevin for your wonderful food service. The Tatu restaurant is 5 star worthy. Absolutely delicious, thanks chef! Johnny is a great bartender and thank you Rebecca for your great guest services. The history of this Fairmont hotel is fascinating. The rooms are comfortable and the pool is relaxing. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel. A special thanks to Heinz for your super management of this Fairmont property."

"A luxurious 5 star hotel tucked in the middle of the city but away from noisy and crowded road. The hotel is bang opposite to Kenya Cultural Centre and walkable distance to the National Museums of Kenya and to the highway. The staff was welcoming and checked in went smoothly after placing few bags for safe keeping with the concierge. The rooms are quite comfortable but found the beds too soft and jumpy. The room overlooked the beautifully landscaped courtyard garden which gave some peace to its character. The restaurant served good food too. The Room Service and the Housekeeping staff were quite efficient."

"We truly loved our stay at the hotel. Its historic character combined with the beautiful gardens creates a very peaceful and unique atmosphere. The heated swimming pool was a very pleasant surprise. As the weather was quite cold during our stay, it made a big difference and was especially enjoyable for our daughter. The staff is extremely attentive and professional — congratulations to the entire team for the excellent service. That said, the rooms would benefit from a renovation. The carpets and wardrobes had a very strong odor, and the shower enclosure allowed water to leak into the bathroom, flooding the entire area. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and with some updates to the rooms, the experience could be even better."

"Decent hotel here! Rooms were comfortable enough, shower + bathroom was good, and I enjoyed the breakfast. Location is pretty central as well. Good robes too! It was new year’s so there was still music being played pretty loudly into the night, but not sure if it was from them. Wifi kinda spotty, so don’t rely on that. Place feels a bit older too, but other than that, no complaints."
