The restaurant features a mix of indoor dining, a semi-open patio, and a landscaped garden area, creating a calm and polished atmosphere for lunch, dinner, or drinks. Its interior design leans toward clean lines, warm lighting, and an understated elegance that complements its fine casual positioning. The menu blends global culinary influences with locally sourced ingredients, presenting dishes such as seafood selections, risottos, grilled mains, artisanal desserts, and a curated bar list with signature cocktails and wines. "A hidden gem set in a beautifully serene garden environment. You get a choice of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as at an upstairs bar area that feels like a large outdoor patio. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the food and drinks were served in an efficiently well paced manner. I docked one star because the steak appeared to have sat a while post-prep and had cooled off a fair bit; which was a disappointing glitch to an otherwise delicious meal."

"Visited this place and whilst the service and drinks were great the food was lacking in every sense. Had a crispy pork belly dish, some tostada, croquets with some sauce. The drinks were good, staff were friendly but would not rush back for the food. The prices were quite steep too for the food if it tasted good would have been ok paying what I did."

"Went to bed AND woke up thinking how incredible dinner was at Ate! Most of our party ordered steak - every single one cooked to perfection - that never happens! The prawns and the sauce that accompanied them were superb! Desserts were gorgeous and we were fortunate enough to be given some complimentary dessert tastings for a soon to be coffee shop opening! Thank you for the perfectly attentive and friendly service! Can’t wait to come back and try ALL the small plates - brilliant menu with plenty of vegetarian options."

"ATE Restaurant Nairobi left much to be desired with its average food quality, relatively high prices, and modest portion sizes. Despite its attempt at positioning itself as a fine dining option, the overall experience fell short compared to more upscale establishments like INTI or Oysterbay. While the ambiance may be pleasant, the value proposition fails to justify the premium prices for very average food items in terms of quality and taste Diners seeking a truly exceptional culinary experience may find themselves underwhelmed by the lackluster offerings at ATE Restaurant"
